St. John's is blessed to have 38 children enrolled in Religious Education. Children range from Pre-school through 8th Grade and attend classes three weeks each month from September through April.
Part of our children's education is to learn about the liturgy of Mass. And what better way to learn than to actually participate in the celebration of Mass. On Sunday, December 16 at 8:30 Mass St. John's children were given the opportunity to actually participate in the liturgy of the Mass...as Greeters, Altar Servers, Lectors, Ushers and bringing up the gifts. In addition, the children sang two selections, one after Father's homily and one after Holy Communion. It was our very first "Children's Mass"!
It is our hope to hold a "Children's Mass" at least quarterly during 2019 and, perhaps monthly thereafter. Enjoy the pictures from our first "Children's Mass" below.
