For us as Catholics, the heart of the celebration of Mass is the Eucharist.  It is through the Eucharist that we are joined to Christ and to one another. 

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist Father in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. This is one of the most visible and profound ministries in the parish...one that offers an opportunity to engage parishioners in the most sacred of Catholic encounters: the sharing of the Eucharist.
